Why is Seven Springs Beef better?

  • Our cattle are provided free choice access to the best, nutritionally organic based mineral supplement available! Browser and Grazer Mix, by Dynamite Specialty Porduct, is a chelated, mineral based supplement, organically formulated toprovide a complete and balanced profile of nutrients, necessary for pastured livestock.
  • Our cattle are raised free of steroids, synthetic growth hormones and antibiotics.

The cattle graze from birth to maturity on nutrient rich, grasses grown

without inorganic nitrates and phosphates, chemical fertilizers and herbicides.

  • Our cattle are handled humanely, matured from birth, as nature intended. The ranch is situated in the foothills of the Oregon Cascade mountains, allowing our cattle tograze on lush, hillside meadows, drinking clean water provided by one of several springs within the ranch property.
  • Our cattle are never held in feedlots
  • Our cattle are grazed and fed home grown and produced, winter hay stocks.
  • Our cattle have been selectively bred from original, registered Hereford stock. Brood cows are never introduced into the herd, further protecting our cattle from disease.  Through the introduction of quality, registered Angus herd sires, we have provided hi-bred vigor and added genetic diversity to enhance the genetic make up of the herd.
  • Our cattle are processed by local, independently owned companies. You decide the size of your roasts, number of steaks to the package, request custom or specialty cuts and, most importantly, control the percentage of fat added (or not) to ground beef. Cryovac processing is available as a custom option.

Why are chelated minerals so important? The importance of chelated minerals has ultimately gained international recognition and acceptance by nutritionists and producers alike. Dynamite's difference is their concept of Mineral Bio-Avaiability~ By using a careful blend of chelated minerals, including appropriate inorganic forms, the Dynamite products offer a unique availability of all minerals, which are the key to good health." Dynamite Specialty Products is a company solely in the business "to provide the highest quality, environmentally sound products" possible!        Why does Grass Fed Beef cost more than industrial meat?
You are purchasing product integrity and quality, not quantity!

In order to provide top quality nutrition and care, we must closely regulate the numbers of animals on this ranch. Our stocking ratio allows, at least, one acre per unit, ensuring a generous amount of land to maximize healthful grazing for our cattle, year around.

Nutrition and healthcare for our brood cows, calves, herd bulls and market steers requires a monetary, as well as philosophical commitment. We take pride in providing the best organic, nutritional sources possible for our cattle and, ultimately, our clients! To find other organic and natural food producers visit www.localharvest.org

"Grass Fed Basics", by Jo Robinson Grass Fed is Best

"Grass fed" or "pasture-raised" animals, the kind you will find described on this site, live dramatically different lives. To begin with, they are raised from birth to market on family ranches. Cows, lambs, goats, and bison graze high-quality pasture during the growing season and then stored grasses (hay or grass silage) during the winter months or drought conditions. The animals live such stress-free lives that they are rarely sick and do not need to be treated with pharmaceutical drugs. As in nature, their rate of growth is determined by their health and the quality of forage, not hormonal implants and growth promoting additives. Their products are healthy, wholesome, and natural in every sense of the word." www.eatwild.com
